Craig Sutherland
Senior Technician
Graduated from UWIC in 1998 with an Industrial Design (BA Hons) degree and then worked in the lighting industry as a product designer in Aberdare and then Poole. In 2000 he moved to London and joined a lighting consultancy producing architectural internal and facade lighting arrangements for buildings as well as public spaces.
He located to Swansea to enrich his surroundings and setup his own business. His first involvement in engineering was promoting the engineering industry in schools across South Wales for the Institute of Civil Engineers. This led him to further his enthusiasm for engineering and he joined kPa Consulting Engineers as a technician in 2009. Craig now takes on a key role in site surveys and the production of the design information for the practice.
Outside of work, he enjoys surfing and spending time with the family. Most of his spare time is spent exploring the coast and mountains of Wales with his dogs (and sometimes friends).
